On October 9, the UD Trucks Japan Sales team held its fourth annual Value Proposition Competition, which was conducted virtually for the second year in a row. The event assesses the skills of salespeople in communicating the unique value proposition of UD products and services to customers.
A total of 12 finalists representing seven branch offices and five local sales companies demonstrated their salesmanship virtually via Microsoft Teams. The competition consists of a theory part that tests their product knowledge and levels of understanding of the customer's business and a practical one that showcases their sales skills in role-playing.
Yu Naoe of the Kushiro branch was awarded first prize among 330 customer advisors nationwide.
UD Trucks Japan Sales Senior Manager, Shinichiro Nagata said: "I am delighted to see how the finalists were able to grow through this competition. Hot topics like 'CASE,' 'DX,' and 'carbon neutral' were also conveyed by the participants and I was impressed by their grasp of global and industry trends.
