Waste Warriors: Designing the Future

Competition for Kidz

The "Truck of the Future for Waste Management" design project aims to inspire and challenge young students to think creatively and innovatively about the future of waste management. The project is organized by UD Trucks, a leading Japanese manufacturer of commercial vehicles, and Arabian Ocean Rowing Team, who completed the historical transatlantic voyage under 50 days in partnership with United Nations, in collaboration with schools and educational institutions.

The project invites groups of three students aged between 13-17 to design a concept for a waste management truck that addresses the challenges and needs of the future. The designs will be judged based on criteria such as originality, feasibility, sustainability, innovation, and aesthetic appeal. The winning designs will be awarded prizes and will have the potential to shape the future of waste management.

Through this project, UD Trucks hopes to engage and inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers to develop solutions that address the global challenge of waste management. The project also provides an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of sustainability, technology, and innovation in the commercial vehicle industry. Ultimately, the "Truck of the Future for Waste Management" design project aims to contribute to a sustainable future for our planet.
