Abu Dhabi Leg of UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge Concludes Successfully

UD Trucks has successfully completed the Abu Dhabi leg of the Extra Mile Challenge in partnership with Al Masaood Commercial Vehicles & Equipment (CV&E), bringing together 15 professional drivers from five different companies.

The event gave participating drivers the opportunity to demonstrate their skills across a series of practical challenges focused on safe, efficient and responsible truck operation. The competition assessed key areas such as driving technique, fuel efficiency, vehicle handling and overall operational performance.

The Extra Mile Challenge is an important global initiative for UD Trucks, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting professional drivers and promoting safer, smarter and more sustainable transport operations. By recognising driver excellence and encouraging continuous improvement, the programme helps customers enhance productivity, reduce operating costs and maximise vehicle uptime.

The Abu Dhabi event also strengthened UD Trucks’ collaboration with Al Masaood CV&E and provided a valuable platform for engaging with customers and drivers across the UAE.

Following the completion of the UAE challenge rounds, the winning driver will earn the opportunity to represent the country at the UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge Global Finals in Ageo, Japan. There, the UAE representative will compete against leading drivers from other markets around the world.
