UD Trucks’ South Africa team won the UD Trucks’ Aftermarket Gemba Challenge Competition
On November 18, the final stage of the Gemba Challenge, UD Trucks’ Aftermarket Competition for employees in Asia and Africa, took place in Japan. The top three teams were chosen as winners of the challenge with a South African team taking first place followed by Japanese teams claiming second and third place.
A total of nine teams totaling 36 mechanics from Japan, Malaysia, South Africa, Indonesia, and Pakistan made it to this final stage of the Gemba challenge after passing two online stages held from June 2014.
