UD Trucks opens new East Java dealership to support its customers

The industry demand for trucks in Indonesian has been increasing throughout the years. UD Trucks Indonesia together with PT. Astra International – opens a new branch to support the customers in East Java.


Surabaya, 6 June 2014 – UD Trucks Indonesia, which has been in Indonesia for the past 30 years has been expanding its dealer network in Indonesia as a part of its future business expansion strategy.

As a part of this strategy in late 2013, UD Trucks and PT Astra International - UD Trucks Sales Operation already opened two new dealerships at Bekasi and Banjarmasin.


UD Trucks and PT Astra International-UD Trucks Sales Operation today open this new dealer outlet in Gersik, Romokalisari. This dealership will additionally address the customers needs in East Java.

This new dealership is one of the most modern setups of UD Trucks in Indonesia, and is in line with the Dealer Operating Standards of UD Trucks.This state-of-the-art facility has 1,400 square meters built-up space including interior and exterior details which communicate the brand identity of UD Trucks. The 6 service bays can repair 6 trucks at a time and can serve customers with an advanced after sales facility to carry out repairs and maintenance work, as well as a parts warehouse and sales showroom.

This facility has been built up with an investment of Rp. 25 billion and it is strategically located to allow customers easy access to the site.

With an already strong presence in the Indonesian market, East Java is an important market for UD Trucks. As a central hub for Java, the economic growth in East Java has shown a significant increase in the last seven years, which has increased the need for efficient transportation.

Pierre Jean Verge-Salamon, President Director of UD Trucks Indonesia explained, “The opening of this new dealership in Surabaya is part of our commitment to support the Indonesian market in the long run and this is in line with the growth ambition of UD Trucks in Indonesia.”

As of today, UD Trucks has 22 outlets with AI and touch-points across the country.
