UD Trucks 'Going the Extra Mile' for Indonesia

27 March 2014 – Going The Extra Mile. UD Trucks being a strong player in the heavy duty truck market in Indonesia would like to further committ to this market with its new brand promise.

UD Trucks has already been in Indonesia for over 30 years, supporting Indonesian customers with their different transportation needs. UD Trucks is the new brand name introduced in 2010 to emphasize on the 'Ultimate Dependability' DNA of its products. Prior to this transformation, UD Trucks was know as 'Nissan  Diesel' and has a rich history of manufacturing trucks since 1935. In fact 'Ultimate Dependability' was well integrated into all the products from its inception and the "UD“ logo has been on the various products since the early 1950s.

As of today, UD Trucks is  supported through an extensive service network in Indonesia in partnership with PT. United Tractors and PT. Astra International. Through a network of own dealers and private dealers, the customers are offered various UD aftermarket services across Indonesia.

UD Trucks already has over 20,000 trucks running on the roads across Indonesia.  Over the last few years UD Trucks has added on an average 3,000 – 4,000 trucks per annum to this running population.

In order to bring in more value to the customers through its different products and services, UD Trucks has adopted a new brand promise 'Going the extra mile'. With this brand promise the whole UD Trucks organization and distribution network will do more and put in extra effort to exceed the customer expectations. The brand promise is represented by a long distance runner. Like a long distance runner we strive to engineer, produce and support each UD truck to run further with a minimum of fuel consumption.

There are four values that support this promise – 'Gemba Spirit', 'Excel on the Essentials', 'Smart and Modern' and 'Ultimate Dependability'. These values are applied to every product and service UD Trucks offers and we make a difference by doing more and always have the customer’s needs as our starting point.

UD Trucks will be ’Going the Extra Mile‘ for its customers in Indonesia by introducing a new product range by the end of this year, expanding the service network and opening a new parts warehouse in Kalimantan.
