UD Trucks is supporting Daddy’s Little Legends to raise money to buy a machine for Flinders Medical Centre that will help make sure little premature babies don’t lose their sight.
Rob is aiming to raise $130,000 to buy the Retcam and UD Trucks is proud to help him on his way!
In the week leading up to Christmas UD Trucks Australia made a $3,000 donation to Rob van Driel’s appeal, which hopes to raise the $130,000 needed to buy a Retcam for Flinders Medical Centre’s Neonatal Unit, in South Australia.
This Retcam will allow doctors to monitor a baby’s eye development and can prevent the baby from losing its sight. We are sure you will agree this machine would be a tremendous gift to the Flinders Medical Centre’s community and families whose children are born prematurely.
Rob’s fight come from the heart – mid-last year his daughter Charlie was born nine weeks premature and was rushed to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where the team of outstanding hospital staff worked around the clock to give the 3lb 12oz Charlie the best chance of life.
Little Charlie fought on and was able to go home for the first time after 46 days in the neonatal unit.
Rob is currently working hard to hit his target, to help support precious little lives who are born premature or critically ill.
