Truck History

Heritage Trucks

UD Trucks’ Ultimate Dependability vision began 80 years ago when the founder and mastermind, Kenzo Adachi, designed his first diesel engine.

Determined to prove the durability of his first truck Mr Adachi completed a legendary 3,000 km run, through heartbreaking mountain roads for 13 days, before bringing it to market.

Since then UD Trucks has been developing, engineering, producing and supporting a range of smart and tough trucks for the truck drivers of today.

UD Trucks has now been on the forefront of Australia’s truck industry for 40 years and counting.
